Safe Blogging

The first clip that I watched was about posting pictures of yourself. It was basically saying don't post pictures if you don't want the whole world to see it. Any one could see it; your parents, relatives, people from school, any one.
That really opened my eyes to see that any one could really see it. If one person sees it they could show their friend and then it would spread like wildfire. You really do have to be careful.

The second clip that i watched was about not saying things you wouldn't say in person. Any thing you say can hurt/offend any one. If you wouldn't say it out loud then don't post it.
This showed me that people don't always realize that even though they are posting the comment but think its safe it really isn't. Once again any one could see it. Think before you act.

The last clip was about predators. People can say they are how ever old they want to be. That doesn't mean they are though and that is really dangerous.
That clip showed me how dangerous things like talking with people you have never met before really is. People can manipulate you over the computer and you don't know what is on the other side of the screen typing. It could be your grandfather or a 10 year old kid. You never know so be careful.

Globalization

Today we went over how small the world actually is. For example we listed about nine different tennis players that played in the U.S. open and there were players from all over the world. We went over this in class to help us realize how small the world actually is because there are all of these people coming from all different places all over the world and they are all coming to one specific place. If you really think about it the world really is much smaller than it used to be due to all of the technology such as e-mail, Internet, cell phones, etc. The world is getting smaller.
